Maasai Mara

Where the Great Migration Comes Alive

3 tours 1 place to stay From KES 42,000

The Maasai Mara National Reserve stretches across 1,510 square kilometres of open savannah in south-western Kenya, bordering the Serengeti. It is the country's flagship wildlife destination and one of the finest places on earth to see predators in the wild.

Between July and October, more than a million wildebeest and zebra push north from Tanzania in the Great Migration, crossing the crocodile-filled Mara River. Outside those months the Mara remains superb year round, with resident lion prides, leopard, cheetah, elephant and buffalo.

We run road safaris departing Nakuru and Nairobi, as well as fly-in packages for travellers short on time.

What makes it worth the trip

  • Great Wildebeest Migration (Jul - Oct)
  • Big Five game viewing
  • Mara River crossings
  • Hot air balloon safaris at dawn
  • Maasai cultural village visits
